helpers at Open Day.JPG
I love coming here because you are all such nice people, I come here because your prayers mean so much to me.
— 'Sarah'

Azadi Trust established The Open Door Friendship Centre in Small Heath on October 2013. It is a community focused centre that seeks to show Jesus' love, bring peace, and meet the needs of the surrounding community.

The impact we have is evident in the smiles on the faces of the guests and participants that pass through our open doors each week. We are a place of peace where people can receive help, in a community that otherwise doesn’t have much available to those who need help.

One visitor told us "I don't know where I would go if you weren't here, I would have no where else to go."

'Kevin' enjoys a weekly conversation in Urdu and a quick game of Carrom with a cup of tea. When he enters, he loves to go around and shake hands with everyone here.

'Sarah' loved coming to the Centre so much that she signed up to be a helper! She brings her daughter with her and both find love and peace here.

'Andrew' started coming a couple of months ago and has barely missed a day since! He sits near the front and spends the time drinking strong coffee and chatting with our volunteers about faith, life, and football.
